Butler Announces Close to $5,000 Raised for United Way of North Central Florida

Gainesville, FL – October 30, 2023 Butler Enterprises hosted the Third Annual Car Show on Saturday, October 14th from 9 AM to 12 PM at Butler Town Center. The International Car Show featured close to 100 cars and motorcycles from Corvettes, Ferraris, Vipers, and Ducati Streetfighters. Close to $5,000 was raised for the International Car Show benefiting United Way of North Central Florida (UWNCF) a local nonprofit located at 6031 NW 1st Place here in Gainesville, serving Alachua, Bradford, Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy, and Union County. UWNCF provides services focused on education, health, and financial stability.

Over two thousand visitors came to Butler Shopping District on Saturday, October 14th. Car show spectators of all ages were able to see rare and exotic vehicles up close and were entertained by popular hits performed by classic rock band The Medicine ShowNothing Bundt Cakes and BurgerFi provided free samples to car show guests and registrants. Other vendors present included T-Mobile, Bay Island Coffee and Clean Juice which will be opening in the coming weeks to Butler Town Center.

The 2023 International Car Show was presented by Continental Imports. Mirror Reflections Auto Spa LLC were a Silver sponsor, BMW of Gainesville was a Bronze car show sponsor, and Advance America was a vendor sponsor.

Special car show appearances at the Third Annual Car Show included one of Alachua County Sheriff's Office Breast Cancer Awareness Patrol Vehicles, the Chevy Tahoe, inspiring and recognizing strength, courage and hope in celebration of law enforcement breast cancer survivors. The 1973 Ferrari 246 GTS Dino #05984, one of the most iconic creations among touring cars of the 1970s was also present at the Butler hosted annual car show. “Cannonball Jack” May drove the Dino and set a world record from New York City to Los Angeles of 35 hours and 53 minutes.

The Third Annual International Car Show was successful also in part to the contributions made by car show committee members Beau Beery representing Thoroughbred Region Porsche Club of America and Ted Kadala in affiliations with Porsche Club of America - Thoroughbred Region & BMW  Car Club of America - Florida SunCoast Region

In addition to the financial donations contributed by the 2023 sponsors, vendors, and car clubs, Pepsiâ also donated various cases of beverages that were sold to car show guests. Butler Enterprises and United Way of North Central Florida are grateful to all sponsors, vendors, car clubs, car show registrants, spectators. All proceeds from the Annual Car Show hosted by Butler exclusively benefit United Way of North Central Florida.
